Last year it was Liam Connor and this year Corrie bosses have decided to kill off yet another of the soap’s Lotharios.

People said to be in the frame are Ken Barlow (Bill Roache), Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), Colin Grimshaw (Edward De Souza), Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), and Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas). However given that Bill Roache recently said he never planned to leave the street I doubt it will be him.

A Corrie source told the Daily Star: “The death of one of the show’s Lotharios will send shockwaves through Weatherfield and have repercussions for a long time to come.

“There are going to be quite a few women who will be devastated by the loss but fans are going to have to wait and see who it is.”

They added: “Soap always has a period where it goes a little quiet but Coronation Street is steaming into fifth gear with some amazing stories.”

Peter Barlow soon expected to begin romancing Michelle Connor, meanwhile his father Ken has claimed that his wife Deirdre is dead and is romancing ageing actress Martha Fraser.

Jason Grimshaw, is rumoured to sleep with his aunt in coming months as well as getting it on with David Platt’s ex Tina McIntyre.

Dev’s love life is a bit boring at present as he continues to woo Tara and Colin Grimshaw could hardly be described as a Lothario, as he keeps his sights firmly set on winning the affections of newsagent Rita Sullivan.
