On tonight’s Corrie Leanne (Jane Danson) is still furious with Michelle (Kym Ryder) as she heads home with Janice (Vicky Entwistle). When Dan (Matthew Crompton) discovers what has gone on at the pub he insists on taking Leanne back there to front up Michelle. In front of a packed pub Dan takes great delight in telling Michelle that Leanne can’t have been with Steve as she was at the hospital all night worrying about him.

A shame faced Michelle can’t believe she has made such a fool of herself and Liz (Beverly Callard) takes great delight in the fact that Steve’s name has been cleared.

Lloyd (Craig Charles) meanwhile is still feeling the pressure as Michelle reverts to pumping him for info. Desperate to get her off his back he drops Steve in it by saying the real reason he has been behaving strangely is that he is planning to propose on his return. Will Michelle believe Lloyd this time?

Over at the Platts Ted’s (Michael Byrne) attempts to clean up after the party are having little effect – in fact he has only succeeded in making the stains worse. With Audrey (Sue Nicholls) due round to inspect the premises he and David (Jack P Shepherd) and Tina (Michelle Keegan) have their work cut out.

Vernon (Ian Reddington) is keen to take Liz’s mind off the situation with Michelle and Steve and tells her that has come up with an idea of buying their own bar. He is disappointed when she doesn’t seem keen but she later relents and he rushes off to make an appointment to view.

Elsewhere Mel (Emma Edmondson) starts to feel left out as Teresa (Karen Henthorne) and Jerry (Michael Starke) are obviously enjoying each other’s company.
