After 50 years of airing every Wednesday evening, Coronation Street is moving to a new Thursday timeslot.

From the 23rd July the ITV soap opera will air at 8.30pm on Thursday night, preceded by an Emmerdale double bill.

I am a little bit gutted and I don’t know how we’re supposed to fill Wednesday evening’s now. I’m no Emmerdale fan and I love nothing more than sitting down at 7.30 pm each night and getting my Eastenders or Corrie fix. How dare ITV break my habit of a lifetime!
