Tony (Gray O’Brien) is delighted when Rita (Barbara Knox) tells him that she will accept his offer - subject to a proper valuation. Norris (Malcolm Hebdon) is not happy with Rita’s decision but knows that he won’t be able to change her mind. Meanwhile Tony tells Carla (Alison King) that he is now going to make a move on Kevin (Michale Le Vell). He’s not impressed however when Kevin turns him down flat saying the business is worth a million pounds. It looks like Tony will have his work cut out persuading Kevin to see sense and sell up.
Becky (Katherine Kelly) takes great delight in telling everyone that she is back with Jason (Ryan Thomas). Roy (David Nielson) is very disapproving and lets her know in no uncertain terms how he feels about the situation. His attitude annoys Becky and before long the two are rowing in the café and end up saying some very hurtful things to each other.
Vernon (Ian Reddington) is preparing to leave the Rovers but Michelle (Kym Ryder) is worried about him and doesn’t see why he should lose his job as well as his home. As he loads his drumkit into a van Lloyd (Craig Charles) takes pity on him and tells him he can bunk up at his for a while.
