Coronation Street: Sarah’s Final Scenes Based On Brief Encounter
Sarah Platt’s (or should I say Grimshaw!) final scenes will be based on the heart wrenching movie, Brief Encounter, Corrie bosses have revealed.
Sarah is offered the chance to start a new life in Italy, by a long lost uncle, but on the way to the train station Jason Grimshaw gets cold feet, and Sarah’s final scenes are of her waving goodbye to her lover on the train station platform.
An insider told The Daily Star: “There won’t be a dry eye in the house.
“It is pure romantic fiction. This is the final chapter of a love story which was destined to fail.”
