Fans of Coronation Street will of course know that the iconic Rovers is set to be razed to the ground in next week’s episodes of the show after an arsonist starts a blaze that will claim two lives…

And today, we have two sneak peek clips for you of the moments leading up to the Street’s residents realising that their lives are about to change forever!

The action begins as Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) hosts the charity fundraising Full Monty event, which has of course been overseen by firefighters Paul Kershaw (Tony Hirst) and his friend Toni…

At the Bistro, Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) is getting progressively more drunk, so when Stella Price (Michelle Collins) tries to apologise for interfering in her relationship with Dev, which fans will recall was back on last week, until that is Stella’s words of warning to Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) hit home and he called the whole thing off again.

Sunita firmly blames Stella for the fact that Dev got cold feet about reuniting with her, and as you’ll see in the clip below, the angry mum throws a drink over Stella, prompting Leanne Tilsley (Jane Danson) to throw Sunita out of the Bistro.

It is of course after that event that Sunita finds her way into the pub’s cellar, which is where she’ll be overcome by smoke and go into a coma from which she will never awaken.
