Coronation Street spoiler: Steve tells Tracy he will have her back, then snogs Michelle!

Oh dear, it seems that Steve McDonald’s complicated love life is set to intensify dramatically next week in Coronation Street!

Fans of the award-winning ITV soap will know how over the last few weeks Steve (Simon Gregson) has been slowly working his charms on ex-fiancée, Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) who he deserted a few years ago when he began seeing his second to last wife, Becky (Katherine Kelly).

Although very reluctant at first, Michelle starts warming to the cheeky chap this week, but they are set for another spanner in the works when Steve’s current wife, Tracy (Kate Ford) collapses with a kidney infection.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Steve and Michelle finally give in to temptation and kiss after he helps her son, Ryan (Sol Heras) when a nasty drug dealer turns up demanding money.

However, when Steve hears about Tracy’s condition (which he believes to be life threatening) he rushes to the mother of his only child’s side and tells her he will always love her, and promises that if she gets better they can get back together.

Unfortunately for the cab firm owner, Tracy does get better, and wastes no time in telling their young daughter, Amy, that her family is going to be under the same roof again.

A Coronation Street insider told the Daily Star Sunday: “Steve was absolutely heartbroken when Becky left after discovering Tracy’s web of lies.

“But since their bitter split Tracy has been doing everything she can to persuade him that she is still the one for him.

“So when she collapses and is rushed into intensive care Steve feels terrible and goes to visit her.

“Thinking that Tracy could die Steve tells her how much she means to him.

“He tells her how much he loves her because she’s Amy’s mum and promises they will get back together for their daughter’s sake. But he only says it as he thinks she might not pull through, so when she’s given the all-clear after being diagnosed with a severe kidney infection, Steve deeply regrets everything he’s said.

“But Tracy tells their daughter that mummy and daddy are getting back together, so poor Steve has some explaining to do when Amy catches him kissing Michelle.

“It’s going to be interesting to see what he does next and whether Michelle will put up with his antics again.”

Coronation Street fans will be able to watch all the drama begin a week tomorrow.
