Fans of Coronation Street will know that ever since Faye Windass’s biological father Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) arrived in Weatherfield, young Faye (Ellie Leach) has been desperate to build a relationship with him…

And not unreasonably, her mum Anna, who has of course adopted Faye, has been resistant all along and to that end, she’s often fallen out with the child, who in turn has become ever more determined that she will win this particular battle.

And in next week’s episodes, it appears Faye has landed a coup de grâce when she lies to headmaster Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) telling him that Anna (Debbie Rush) has been hitting her.

The drama begins in the episode that airs on Monday, April 15 when Faye’s off school sick and Anna’s forced to take her to work with her. In the café, Tim offers to look after Faye back at his flat, to which a harassed Anna reluctantly agrees.

Later, when Faye goes home, she tells Anna that she wants to go and live with her dad now that he has his own flat, and of course, Anna immediately refuses. She then tries to explain to Tim that he’s being a disruptive influence in Faye’s live, even though he probably doesn’t mean to be…

He agrees and reluctantly suggests he should leave the Street, however, Faye overhears and goes ballistic!

On Wednesday, in a bid to force Anna and Tim into doing things her way, Faye will make the accusations against her mum, and though Brian seriously doubts what she’s saying is true, he has no choice but to inform the authorities.

So on Friday, we’ll see Faye being formally interviewed about her allegations, and thankfully, she breaks down and admits they’re lies, however, Anna has quietly decided that maybe she just needs to stop fighting Faye…

So she’ll tell Owen (Ian Puleston-Davies) that she’s decided to allow Faye to live with Tim, explaining that she doesn’t want her daughter to grow up hating her for not letting her be with her flesh and blood.

However, what will Tim have to say? Does he really want the responsibility of bringing his daughter up?

Find out next week, but for now, here’s a look at this week’s Corrie drama…

I think this really shows how much kids in care go through and how hard it is. I also think its nice as you see how loving Anna is.
