As we saw last week, Coronation Street resident Gail McIntyre was left devastated when cad Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers) finally revealed that he’d conned her out of all her money by way of revenge for Gail’s part in breaking up him and Audrey Roberts…

We also saw that Lewis cheekily had a courier deliver £9,000 to Gail’s house for Audrey (Sue Nicholls) which, though it was of course Gail’s cash, Audrey refused to hand over to her daughter, saying that where Lewis got the money he owed her from is nothing to with her…

So now, Gail (Helen Worth) is not only heartbroken and broke, but she also faces crippling repayments on the loan that she secured against her house, and far from helping her out, as we’ll see tonight, Audrey compounds Gail’s problems by offering to lend Kylie and David enough money to put down a deposit to buy Gail’s house!

Kylie (Paula Lane) and David (Jack P Shepherd) jump at the chance, but of course, Gail’s not happy.

Here’s a clip…

Also coming up this week, after Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) helped Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) to have a secret visit with his daughter Ruby, desperate Ty asks for Kevin’s help again…

He’s set to tell Kevin that his former fiancé Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) has hired Kevin’s daughter Sophie to babysit Ruby while she goes out with her friends. He’ll then explain to Kevin that he’s terrified that Kirsty could hurt the baby, and that being the case, he plans to snatch the infant and take her out of the country.

To do so, he pleads with Kevin to somehow get Sophie out of the house long enough for Tyrone to go in and take the baby.

Will Kevin agree? Find out later this week, but for now, here’s a sneak peek clip…

This domestic abuse storyline had so much potential but has been totally ruined by the affair. One minute Tyrone couldn’t move without Kirsty checking up on him and then the next he’s able to get out to meet Fiz whenever he feels like. Silly

It’s painful to watch ! It’s needs to come to a conclusion quickly and the truthful conclusion instead of everyone seeing that lies pay off in Kirsty,s case !
