David Platt is a man on a mission – to destroy his brother Nick’s life, who of course had a one night stand with David’s wife Kylie…

So far, he’s trashed Nick (Ben Price) and Leanne’s flat, keyed Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoigne) car – to make it look like Nick did it in a jealous rage – and has lashed out at his mum Gail (Helen Worth) over her involvement in keeping the illicit tryst a secret. Though of course, he didn’t tell her why he attacked her!

And in next week’s episodes, when Leanne (Jane Danson) insists to Nick that holding a student night at the Bistro will be a money-spinner, though Nick is initially wary of a bunch of students rampaging through his classy eatery, once David (Jack P Shepherd) lends his support to Leanne’s plan, Nick agrees to go along with it…

However, David then places an anonymous call to police, warning them that there will be drug dealing at the Bistro during the special event, and sure enough, in the episode that airs on Wednesday, July 10, the police raid the place!

David is of course delighted, because even though the police leave empty-handed having not found any drugs, Nick and Leanne are at each other’s throats over the debacle…

And things get worse for the couple when a reporter from the Gazette turns up, and she seems to know an awful lot about the whole thing. Jeez, wonder who told her?

However, by the time we see Friday night’s double-bill of episodes, Nick and Leanne have kissed and made up, and have decided to go on a short break, so David and Kylie (Paula Lane) are left in charge of things at the Bistro…

So, never one to miss an opportunity, David heads behind the bar for the next stage of his plan. But what’s he got in store for Nick this time?

Find out next week, but for now, here’s a look at this week’s drama…

You’re not supposed to like them, they must be doing a great job. If the soaps were like real life it would be boring and no one would watch. The most exciting that that happens round here is my beans in the garden are in flower and I’ve got my fingers crossed that my car will pass it’s MOT.

If David did not treat his wife really badly in Nick’s Bistro in front of all the guys, Nike and kali would not have a one night stand. All this is David’s faults.
