We reported recently that an upcoming storyline is set to see expectant dad Gary Windass (Mikey North) falling for Tina McIntyre, who is of course carrying his and his girlfriend Izzy’s baby…

And it seems that plot twist is set to get underway next week when, after Tina (Michelle Keegan) finds her flat has been ransacked during a break-in, Izzy (Cherylee Houston) tells Gary he should spend the night at Tina’s, given that she’s of course shaken up by the robbery.

The drama begins in the episode that airs on April 1, when we’ll see Gary asking Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) to give Tina some extra hours in the office as she’s struggling to cope without her wages from the Rovers…

Then, on April 3, we’ll see Izzy, Gary and Tina going to the hospital for Tina’s latest ultrasound scan, before which, Gary implores Tina to find out the sex of the baby.

However, Izzy has already told him that she doesn’t want to know, so – by way of a thank you for Gary asking Owen for some extra hours for her – Tina agrees that if she gets chance, she’ll find out if the baby is a boy or a girl.

But as it turns out, when the scan begins, and excited Izzy asks the sonographer herself, and is delighted to hear that they’re having a baby boy!

Gary rushes over to see what’s going on, and he finds Tina shaken and worried as he arranges to get her locks changed for her. But as mentioned, when Izzy sees what a state Tina’s in, she tells Gary that he should stay over with their surrogate mum to see that she’s ok.

Don’t miss that drama next week, but for now, here’s a reminder of another time when Gary and Izzy’s relationship was on the rocks!
