It’s been reported today that Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan, who of course plays the role of Tina McIntyre, may be in hot water with the show’s bosses after she posted a picture of herself and co-star Jack P Shepherd – who plays David Platt – on Twitter which showed two pages of the soap’s scripts…
And apparently, eagle-eyed fans spotted that the text on the pages – which were seen on a table between Michelle and Jack – revealed the outcome of the DNA test that David is set to have on his wife Kylie’s baby girl Lily.
As fans will know, Kylie (Paula Lane) had a one night stand with David’s brother Nick (Ben Price) at Christmas, so the baby girl she’s carrying – who she’ll name Lily – could be either Nick’s or David’s, so to find out for sure, David will order a paternity test.
Of Michelle’s spoiler gaffe, The Sun’s TV Biz reports, “The actress, who plays the Street’s Tina McIntyre, tweeted a snap of her co-star Jack P Shepherd smoking a shisha pipe as they ran through lines together in a bar yesterday.
“And at the forefront of the picture – which was captioned ‘Dinner break with @JackPShepherd88 #shisha #minttea #learninglines #Dave&Tina X’ – were two scripts lying on a table.”
The paper adds, “Michelle quickly deleted the shot, but not before some eagle-eyed fans zoomed in on the lines and discovered it contained the result of the paternity test involving Jack’s character David Platt.”
However, while we decided not to reveal the content of the script spoiler, online debate about it has been rife since the picture went online.
One Twitter user wrote, “Thanks to @michkeegan’s recent pic upload, we now know David isn’t the father of Kylie’s baby! #script.”
But another remarked, “@michkeegan so we know the baby is called Lilly Platt and the baby is David’s!”
And finally, one fan commented, “@itvcorrie wonder if the baby daddy script will be changed now that it is leaked #CoronationStreet #michellekeegan #plotspoiler #michkeegan.”
A show insider told the Daily Star, “Talk about a serious clanger!
“Michelle didn’t think anyone would be able to read the scripts but clearly they could.”
Here’s a sneak peek at an upcoming episode of Corrie…
