In the first half of an hour-long visit to Coronation Street on Sunday 8 December, Kylie and Nick are incredulous to find that Audrey has allowed David to stay with her.
An infuriated Nick tells David to leave the street, threatening that if he doesn’t, he’ll tell everyone that his own brother tried to kill him.
Later, when Gail hands Kylie an envelope full of cash that David gave her, she’s incensed and corners him in the salon.
Elsewhere, in the factory, Izzy asks Julie how she is, and she explains that she’s disappointed, but determined to not let it ruin her life. Izzy tells her not to give up on her dream, and we see Julie looking thoughtful, have Izzy’s words prompted an idea?
Meanwhile, With Dev’s fitness drive not going well, Gary suggest he meet him in the pub later, adding that he has a friend who can get him in shape in no time. And sure enough, later on, as handsome Kal enters the Rovers, Gary’s face lights up.
And finally, Dennis and Gloria reminisce about variety acts of yesteryear, but Rita isn’t happy…
In the second half of the episode, Kylie can barely contain her rage and ends up throwing the money back at David…
She tells him they don’t need his help and he should stay away, but David begs her for a second chance, saying he felt suicidal when he found out about her and Nick. However, Despite David’s pleas, Kylie’s adamant they’ll never be together and she leaves David heartbroken. But does she really mean what she says?
Elsewhere, Brian despairs as he tells Marcus that Julie’s still harping on about fostering, and he confesses that he still hasn’t told her about the job. Marcus tells him he has to ask himself who’s more important: the job or Julie?
Which will Brian choose?
At the pub, Kal explains to Dev how he left the army to set up his own personal trainer business, and as they get on well, Dev agrees to hire him.
Also, Todd tells Brian that he wouldn’t go out with Sean if he was the last man alive, and Sean’s crushed when Brian tells him what Todd said.
And finally, Rita rubbishes Dennis grand plans of music management.
