If you fancy coming over all Miss Marple, ITV are giving you the chance to do just that and have a stab (no spoiler intended) at solving the whodunit mystery of the forthcoming murder of barmaid Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street…
In the dramatic episodes that lead up to Tina’s (Michelle Keegan) death, we’re set to see her facing a final confrontation with four of the Street’s characters, any of whom could turn out to be her killer.
And those characters are Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), with whom Tina has been having an affair, his pregnant and long-suffering wife Carla (Alison King) and engaged couple Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), who is Peter’s sister, and Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis), who is Carla’s brother.
So evidently, Tina’s demise is going to be a keep-it-in-the-family affair because one of those characters will be responsible for shoving her off a balcony and leaving her for dead. But which one?
Well, as mentioned above, we viewers are to be offered exclusive access to the four scenes – which were written by Simon Crowther and directed by Duncan Foster – on Corrie’s official website, and they will available from Monday 19th May at 12pm.
We can then vote on who we think is likely to turn out to be the murderer, but of course, we’ll have to wait until Tuesday 27 May to find out who killed poor old Tina…
However, Tina isn’t set to die instantly, and will instead shuffle off the mortal coil while in hospital in the episode that airs on Monday 2 June, but even as she gasps her ventilated last, the police arrive on the cobbles and close in on their prime suspect. Will they arrest the right person? Or will the real killer remain on the loose?
We can’t wait to find out, and we will of course keep you updated with new spoilers about the plotline as soon as we get them.
For now though, here’s a look at more upcoming Coronation Street drama for Tina and Peter…
