Murder seems to be the theme of this Easter break, as Michelle Keegan has revealed that she has finally filmed her final scenes as Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street!
With Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater) over in EastEnders being the first soap star to meet their grizzly end in this season of triple murder last night, there are two deaths left to play out on our soapland screens.
The first is that of Fraser Black (Jesse Birdsall) in Hollyoaks which will play out next week, leaving only Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) in Coronation Street to be killed in a storyline which is set to play out later in the spring.
But the end is imminent as Michelle Keegan, who announced her decision to quit last year so she could move to London to be closer to her presenter boyfriend former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright, has just filmed her final scenes.
There are many suspects lined up in the Who Kills Tina McIntyre case, most likely being either Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) who she has been having an affair with and Carla Connor (Alison King), his wife, but the story is set to have the residents of Coronation Street guessing for weeks – Whilst the audience has been told they will see first-hand who the killer is when the murder takes place.

And now that very scene has been filmed as Michelle, who is up for a ton of awards at this year’s British Soap Awards including best Actress and Sexiest Female, took to social networking site, Twitter, to share with followers the end of her era, tweeting on Thursday:
“Today has been one of the most overwhelming days I’ve ever had. Thankyou SO much for everyone’s tweets, messages and kind words…” .
“I’ll be forever in debt to Coronation Street and ITV for giving me the role of Tina, I’m going to miss her, and everyone at Corrie…
“Thank U for all the support over the last 6 n a half yrs. I’ll always have a piece of Tina with me- It’s inevitable I have her earrings! X”
