Coronation Street stars “rallying round” to stop Helen Flanagan from leaving!
It’s been reported today that Corrie stars are “rallying round” to stop Helen Flanagan from leaving the show.
Helen, who of course plays Rosie Webster, recently told the show’s bosses that she wasn’t intending to renew her contract with the soap when it ends in March of next year.
It’s been speculated that her decision to quit has come after she’s suffered a number of distressing panic attacks while on the set of the show.
However, speaking to the Daily Mirror, Helen’s co-star and on-screen sister Brooke Vincent – who plays Sophie Webster – said, “Our on-screen family, the Websters, are very close and when it first started happening we sat down together and tried to help her.
“We’ve agreed to rally round to help in any way we can and we’ve had talks about how we can make this as stressless a time for her as possible.”
Helen, who’s dating Swansea City footballer Scott Sinclair, has recently spoken openly about her panic attacks, saying, “I’ve recently suffered a few panic attacks. And as anyone who has ever suffered from them knows, they are very scary.
“I had one at work and everyone was very understanding but I didn’t know what might have caused it.
“I am trying to work out what triggers them so that I can start to deal with them and move forward.”
A source on the show said, “There’s no doubt Helen’s had a hard time of it lately and everyone is hoping she’s going to be OK.
“It is a really close-knit team and everybody’s main priority is her health.”
