Steve MacDonald has been playing alibi for Becky in Corrie this week after the police try to convict her of theft and vandalism. He even goes as far as standing up in court and lying that he spent the night with Becky, and that they have been having a long term affair.

Whilst on the witness stand he declared:

“We have been having an affair for about a year and she was with me all night.”

However, those who think that Steve is lying on the witness stand will have a shock in store as after his court appearance Steve declares that he really is in love with Becky.

Outside the court Becky gushes:

“You are the best bloke in the whole world.

“When you were saying those things on the stand, you had me in tears. For a minute I thought you were telling the truth.”

Steve then gives her a long passionate kiss, saying: “I wasn’t pretending. I really do love you and all I want is for us to be together for the rest of our lives.”

It didn’t take her long to get over Jason did it?
