Coronation Street: Tina McIntyre gets broken heart mended by Dr Carter?

The devastation of losing Graeme toher best friend, Xin, has only just begun to set in for Coronation Street’s Tina McIntyre, but it would seem that a suitable replacement has already been lined up.

We could all tell that good hearted Tina’s (Michelle Keegan) plan to get her beloved Graeme (Craig Gazey) to tie the knot with best friend, Xin (Elizabeth Tan) in order to allow her to stay in the country, would end in tears and in true soap style we were not disappointed.

After staging a break up between Tina and Graeme due to his falling in love with Xin, followed by a quickie joint wedding with David (Jack P Shepherd) and Kylie (Paula Lane) Platt, we could al see the irony in it happening for real.

Unfortunately for Tina, she has already had her share of sympathy over the situation from the residents of Weatherfield when she cried wolf the first time, so, as a result is nursing her broken heart all alone – but maybe not for long.

At the beginning of this story line, which we knew would result in the departure of Graeme, several suitors have been named for Tina to live happily ever after with, including Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain) who made a pass at her as soon as he set foot in the Street and old flame Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas), but it would seem the answer lies with a rather unlikely source… Dr Carter.

Dr Matt Carter (Oliver Mellor) is said to become more of a regular member of the cast, and being on the arm of Tina certainly is a sure way to get more camera time. Sophisticated, educated and rather dishy, for Tina this could be just what the Doctor ordered!

However a few skeletons are set to emerge from the medic’s cupboard, which could cause problems for the pair!
