This week we will see Tina O’Brien (aka Sarah Platt/Grimshaw) leave our screens as she jets off from Coronation Street to her uncle Stephens pad in Italy.
However Tina, who enjoys an off screen relationship with her on screen husband, Ryan Thomas believes that her departure will make their relationship stronger than ever.
“Not seeing each other so much will mean that when we do get together, it’ll be much more special,” Tina told the Daily Star. “When we haven’t seen each other for a while, I look at Ryan and think: ‘Oh wow, you’re gorgeous!’
“I always think that, but when I haven’t seen him for a while it really hits home how lovely he is.”
Asked about whether they were considering marriage, Tina joked: “We have done it twice on the show, so why do it for real? We’re just far too young to be getting married. We are very happy with how things are between us and I think it’s a case of don’t mess with something that’s fantastic already.”
