Get your paper hankies ready! For tonight we will bid our final farewell to Corrie veteran, Vera Duckworth.

Vera, who is played by Liz Dawn, died on our screens last week, and tonight her funeral will be broadcast to millions.

This evening we will see Jacks struggle to come up with some fitting words to say at his wife’s funeral, he finally settles for:

“When I look back, it’s as though there hasn’t been two lives, hers and mine. There’s been just the one, that we’ve shared.

“And that’s the best kind of life you can have. So what I really wanted to say is, ‘Thanks, Vera. Thanks, love…’”

Forget the hankies, just bring in a packet of loo rolls! You are gonna need them!
