Other celebrites lined up for the series include a selection of past and present EastEnders actors including Patsy Palmer (Bianca Butcher), Jo Joyner (Tanya Jessop) and Martin Kemp (Steve Owen), as well as  X Factor’s  Stacey Solomon, McFly drummer, and current Strictly Come Dancing champion, Harry Judd,  and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2010 runner up and Happy Monday’s singer, Shaun Ryder.

In a recent interview Cotton spoke of gay marriage, saying: “My view is simple — equality is equality is equality.

“If the Church is to remain relevant, it has to move with the times.”

Schofield has revealed he is looking forward to hosting the show, which will return with a glitzy new set this autumn, alone, but insisted that there had been no fall out between him and Fern, saying:“It’s such a fun show to do.”

“She just doesn’t work for ITV these days.”
