We knew it wouldn’t be long before the relationship between Eva Price and Nick Tilsey went wrong in Coronation Street.  The tell-tale signs of a soap romance about to implode is comfortableness, something the two lovers  have been oozing just lately.

And it would seem the Bistro bubble is about to burst on our screens withing the next two weeks, when Eva gets paranoid that Nick is cheating on her, and exposes him infron of a resteraunt full of people, only to find out she has got the wrong end of the stick.

Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price in the hit ITV show, has revealed that her alter-ego will be left devastated after her apologies for the incident fall on deaf ears, as Nick’s humiliation will not allow him to forgive her.

The situation arises when Eva suspects Nick (Ben Price) of having an affair with his sister-in-law, Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) after the two become close, and so sets about publicly shaming the two of them with evidence she believes she has to prove her theory.

However, it soon becomes very clear that there was a perfectly reasonable explanation for their behaviour, and whilst Eva apologies and thinks they can all just move on, Nick has other ideas.

Tyldesley told All About Soap:  ”Eva’s a diva and likes a bit of drama. Part of the aggression she’s carried from being cheated on by her ex is now coming out with Nick, so she decides that it’s time to make a show of him.

“She reveals it in front of everyone at the Bistro and I don’t think Nick or Kylie have a clue what’s going on. Everyone believes her claims, because all of her ‘evidence’ makes such sense – she’s chuffed to bits with herself as she’s sure she’s completely in the right and Nick’s got exactly what he deserves.

“However, it’s not long before Kylie and Nick have the chance to explain and it’s suddenly clear Eva’s gone too far.”

Nick digs his heels in and refuses to forgive his girlfriend, or give their relationship another chance, furious over the humiliation, leaving Eva devastated.

Tyldesley added: “Eva is heartbroken – even more so because she’s brought it on herself. She’s gutted she didn’t just ask him outright rather than acting so immaturely.

“She just assumes she will get him back and, because of the way she feels about him, she will try. But whether she can win him over or not is a whole different ball game – Nick’s feelings aren’t anywhere near as strong as Eva’s are.”
