Kym Marsh, who plays bubbly barmaid Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, has been told she will have her baby girl in two weeks time, The Mirror has reported.

Kym, who is engaged to Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, will be only 32 weeks pregnant when she gives birth – approximately 8 weeks short of full term – but doctors are happy that the baby is doing well.

It has always been known to the pair that this baby was likely to be premature, after several health scares throughout her pregnancy. Medical staff had recommended that Kym stayed bed ridden for most of it.

Kym and Jamie tragically lost their baby son Archie two years ago, after he was born at 21 weeks, and so have obviously been extra vigilant with this pregnancy, which always threatened the same complications.

The pair, who have previously announced that this baby is a little girl, are said to be excited about the arrival.
