Boyfriend beater, Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede), is said to walk out on her devastated fiancee after she becomes consumed with guilt over her attack on him, in an upcoming Coronation Street storyline.

Viewers recently saw the pregnant ex-police woman hit the kind-hearted mechanic in the face with a metal spoon, something she promised would never happen again after managing to convince Tyrone (Alan Halsall) that the violent attack was a one off.  But unfortunately for Ty, its a promise she cant keep….

Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Gumede said: “Tyrone’s planning a surprise birthday party for Kirsty, despite the fact she doesn’t want any fuss.”

Included in the guest list are both Kirsty’s parents, who don’t know that she is pregnant or engaged!

Natalie said: “Kirsty’s done everything she can to get away from them, particularly her father. That’s why they’ve never been introduced to Tyrone. She’s suffered an abusive relationship with her dad.

“Her behaviour towards Tyrone is a lot like her father’s, going through the cycle of apologising and then doing it again. Seeing him again is a proper heart-in-mouth moment.”

Kisrty lets rip at Tyrone, but when he stands up for himself she loses control and lashes out at him again.

Natalie added: “He runs out of the house and the next day Kirsty decides to leave. She hates herself for hitting Tyrone and knows it’s for the best.”

The outcome of this latest outburst is still as yet unkown, but the continuing domestic violence storyline is set for much more drama and explosions.
