Corrie: Fiz Stape could be brain damaged after carbon monoxide poisoning! Will Tyrone Dobbs go to prison?!

by Lynn Connolly

There’s a horrible drama set to play out for Tyrone Dobbs this New Year when he finds his lover Fiz Stape in a coma!

He of course calls an ambulance, and Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is rushed to hospital, but she’s in a deep coma, and her frantic family are told that if she ever wakes up, she could be brain damaged.

The drama begins on New Year’s Eve when Fiz fails to turn up for a secret lunch date with Tyrone (Alan Halsall) so, worried about her, he calls to her house and is horrified to find her on the floor unconscious…

Later, at the hospital, Tina – who went with Fiz to hospital – is told that Fiz is in a critical condition and may not make it. But when the doctor tells her that the most likely cause of Fiz’s coma is carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty central heating boiler, and when she then relays that information to Tyrone, he realizes he could be to blame because he fixed her boiler…

On the 2nd January, Fiz’s brother Chesney (Sam Aston) as well as Katy (Georgia May Foote) Anna (Debbie Rush) and Owen return from their holiday and rush to Fiz’s bedside…

The doctor explains that Fiz may have brain damage, but stresses that they won’t know until she regains consciousness. An angry Chesney confronts Tyrone, wanting to know if it’s true that he fixed the boiler and did this to his sister. In front of Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) will Tyrone be forced to lie?

In the episode that airs on Friday 4th January, as Chesney and Owen (Ian Puleston-Davies) continue to blame Tyrone for Fiz’s condition, the Health & Safety Investigator arrives on the street and starts asking questions.

Will Tyrone be forced to come clean about not only the boiler but also his affair with Fiz? Well, when the Health & Safety Investigator issues his decision about whether to prosecute or not, Tyrone could face having his entire life ruined, but all he really cares about if Fiz.

Come back soon to find out what’s set to happen next!
