Corrie has bagged more Inside Soap 2012 nominations than EastEnders! See full list of categories and noms!

As is traditional during TV awards season, the UK’s big three soaps, EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, are all keen to outdo each other by winning – or being nominated for – more gongs than their rivals…

So the cast and crew of Corrie were no doubt pleased to learn this morning that the Manchester based soap has more nominations for the Inside Soap Awards 2012 than EastEnders does.

As to the other major soaps, Hollyoaks is nominated in 12 categories, while Emmerdale features in 7…
