Corrie: Jealous Eva Price will try to sabotage Nick and Leanne’s Christmas Day wedding!

by Lynn Connolly

Fans of Corrie may know that after they’re forced to abandon their plan to wed in Las Vegas – when Leanne Barlow’s ex, Peter Barlow and his girlfriend Carla Connor arrive back on the Street – Nick Tilsley and Leanne are set to wed on Christmas Day…

However, Leanne’s sister Eva Price is going to do everything she can to stop the wedding, or at least to sabotage it!

But of course, it was Eva’s plotting with her BFF Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) that prompted Nick (Ben Price) to propose to Leanne (Jane Danson) in the first place, but now it’s in motion, she’s not going to make it easy for the bride and groom.

The Daily Star quotes Catherine Tyldesley, who of course plays Eva, as saying, “Eva is going to make sure things don’t go smoothly…

“As soon as I read in the script that Leanne was going to ask Eva to be a bridesmaid I thought: ‘Oh Leanne, what are you doing? It’s going to be carnage.’”

Catherine, who formerly starred in Emmerdale as a prison guard, added, “The hen night is hilarious.

“Eva basically gets Leanne completely plastered in the hope she won’t get up in the morning.

“Not that we get to drink any real alcohol during filming. Eva is supposed to be on the white wine so I am actually drinking apple juice mixed with water.”

And while hinting about the wedding day outfits, Catherine said, “Eva’s bridesmaid’s dress is very Strictly Come Dancing.

“Basically, as soon as she hears she’s going to be a bridesmaid she’s like: ‘I will out-dress the bride.’

“It’s very over the top. Filming the wedding was great fun.

“We were shooting it on location and a lot of the cast were there, so everyone got really excited.

“Bless the director, he was like a headmaster on a school trip, trying to control us.”

Here’s a reminder of Nick and Leanne’s first wedding back in 1998…

Nick’s changed a bit eh?!
