Corrie: Lloyd Mullaney will find out he has a daughter later this year!
Apparently, the storyline will be that an old flame of Lloyd’s gets in touch with him again to inform him he has a daughter, and according to The Sun’s TV Biz, the news will “knock him for six.”
A show insider said, “Lloyd hasn’t been in touch with this woman for a while, and then she waltzes in and announces that he has a daughter.
“The news will knock Lloyd for six. His reaction will be pretty explosive.”
The show’s bosses are currently auditioning actors to play the roles of Lloyd’s ex and his daughter…
So it’s good news for fans of Craig’s as it of course means he’s going to be around on the show for a good while yet. He is of course only just back on the cobbles after a six month break during which he filmed a new series of cult comedy Red Dwarf, which is set to air on Dave later this year.
But before he found fame on Red Dwarf’s original series, and subsequently on Corrie, Craig’s TV work was primarily in the role of a poet, and he was a regular on arts show Riverside and on BBC chat show, Pebble Mill at One.
He was also dubbed the ‘punk poet’ on BBC2 pop music programme, Oxford Road Show, and he also performed his political poems as stand-up comedy on the late-night show, Saturday Live.
