Coronation Street resident Lloyd Mullaney has never had much luck with women, however, he has an old flame called Mandy who he’s always retained a little spark for…

So when he bumps into her by chance, it seems to Lloyd (Craig Charles) that fate engineered the encounter for a reason, and he’s keen to have a catch up with Mandy – who’s to be played by Pamela Nomvete – but she, it seems, is not so keen.

However, Lloyd’s nothing if not persistent, so having learned where Mandy lives, he pops round unexpectedly, and is curious as to why Mandy is so reluctant to ask him in!

But when Mandy’s teenaged daughter Jenna (Krissi Bohn) wonders who’s at the door, her mum introduces Lloyd and he’s immediately curious as to why Mandy didn’t mention she had a daughter when he met with her previously…

Back on the Street, Lloyd tries to work out how old Jenna is, and it’s during a conversation with Eileen (Sue Cleaver) – when Lloyd also reveals that he and Mandy had their affair when she was still married – about the meeting with Mandy and her daughter that Lloyd figures out that in fact, the dates concerned could mean that Jenna is his child.

So, armed with his suspicions, Lloyd goes to see Mandy again – who’s now widowed as her husband Johnny died years ago – and after initially denying it, Mandy breaks down and admits that Lloyd is indeed Jenna’s dad.

However, when Jenna then stumbles in, she’s immediately aware of the tension in the air, and once Lloyd’s gone, she wants to know what’s going on!
