Corrie: Michelle Connor and Steve McDonald to become an item again!

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has revealed that her character Michelle Connor will once again turn to her ex, Steve McDonald, when she learns that her son Ryan is pedaling drugs.

Kym made the revelation when asked if Michelle was going to find love with newbie Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) who is of course Carla Connor’s (Alison King) ex-jailbird brother.

She replied, “New man? It’s actually more of an old man. Could she be getting closer to a certain Mr McDonald again? Maybe!”

Speaking to All About Soap magazine, Kym added, “I think the viewers are expecting Michelle to get it on with Rob because he’s the new guy.

“The last person they’re expecting her to pair up with is Steve…”

Kym then expanded on the plotline that will see Michelle turning to Steve when she finds dealing with her son Ryan (Sol Heras) is involved with drugs.

She said, “Steve has always been very much part of Ryan’s life from when he was with Michelle before, and we’ll see him being a massive support for her.”

But of how Steve’s ex Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) might react to the news that Steve and Michelle are together again, Kym joked, “Can you imagine what that would do to Tracy?

“The cat fights would be amazing. But I think Michelle would beat Tracy hands down!”

However, Kym added that she wouldn’t want Michelle’s relationship with Steve to be too “serious.”

She said, “I don’t want to see Michelle getting serious with a guy. I like her relationships as long as they keep them quite light and fresh.

“Michelle’s a drifter, but I love that about her.”

Finally, the magazine adds that Michelle and Rob will end up running Underworld together after Carla leaves Weatherfield with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) when his custody battle for his son Simon reaches a conclusion.
