There’s set to be a shocking and dramatic twist in the domestic violence storyline between Corrie’s Tyrone Dobbs and his fiancé Kirsty Soames when it appears that she may harm their newborn daughter, Ruby.

The baby will be born in a couple of weeks, and as fans of the show will know, both Tyrone (Alan Halsall) and Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) are desperately hoping that her fits of rage – which have seen her battering Tyrone – will abate once the baby’s born and her hormones settle down…

However, that won’t be the case, and the Daily Star reports that when tired new mum Kirsty can’t get baby Ruby to stop crying, she’ll go berserk and trash the house…

Worried neighbours – who’ve heard the baby’s cries and Kirsty’s furious screams, accompanied by the sound of things smashing – race to the garage to alert Tyrone, who is frantic with worry that Kirsty’s harmed Ruby as he dashes into the house.

He’ll find that the baby’s safe, but Kirsty is out of control, sobbing helplessly amid the wreckage of the lounge.

Fearing that next time, Kirsty will take out her anger on the infant, Tyrone will contemplate taking the baby and leaving the area, however, once again he’ll be swayed by Kirsty’s promises to change, and he’ll stay in Weatherfield, but won’t know a minute’s peace when he’s not with baby Ruby and Kirsty.

And of course, the only person who knows the truth of Tyrone’s turbulent relationship with Kirsty is Tina (Michelle Keegan) whose promised not to tell anyone else that Kirsty beats Tyrone…

However, when she hears about the ruckus and that it involved the baby, will she decide she simply can’t stay quiet any longer?

And if so, who will she tell?
