As fans of Corrie will of course know, Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) is currently treading on very thin ice by having an affair with her neighbour Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) because if his nutty fiancé Kirsty Soames finds out about it, it’s anyone’s guess what she might do!
Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) has of course shown time and time again that she has a vicious temper – she’s battered poor Tyrone repeatedly – and she positively hates Fiz, so it’s no surprise then that Fiz is astonished when Kirsty turns up at her house asking if they can be friends…
She even invites Fiz to her and Tyrone’s wedding – which Tyrone is only going through with so that he can have legal rights to their daughter Ruby – and Fiz will of course have to agree, believing that she’s doing what’s best for Tyrone; keeping the peace…
However, viewers will be left wondering what Kirsty’s up to because ahead of her attempts at reconciliation with Fiz, we’ll see Kirsty rummaging around in the shed at home for some paint, and of course, Tyrone hides the phone he uses to call Fiz on in an empty paint tin in there.
So has Kirsty rumbled their affair? And if so, is she planning a dramatic ditching at the altar scenario on her wedding day?
Well, time will tell, but a Corrie insider told the Daily Star, “Kirsty has hated Fiz from day one.
“She saw how friendly she was with Ty and then when she found out they used to go out with each other that was it.
“Ty was told to have nothing more to do with Fiz.
“Their love has grown out of friendship and it was Kirsty’s ¬beatings that brought him and Fiz closer.
“Watching what Ty has been going through has left Fiz feeling angry, emotional and helpless.
“She’s not been able to do anything about it in case he loses his daughter Ruby.
“So having Kirsty in her home ¬wanting to be friends leaves Fiz ¬feeling sick to her stomach.”
We’ll find out if Fiz accepts the wedding invitation a week on Friday, but for now, here’s a reminder of Kirsty in violent action…
