Corrie Spoilers: Gloria Price is back with a new fiancé in tow, but he has an indecent proposal for Eva! (VIDEO)

by Lynn Connolly

In next week’s episodes of Coronation Street, Gloria Price turns up like the proverbial bad penny at the Rovers, but she has a man in tow and wastes no time in introducing her new fiancé, Eric!

We of course saw Gloria (Sue Johnston) leave Weatherfield last year after her daughter Stella (Michelle Collins) banished her having learned about Gloria’s part in breaking up Lewis Archer and Audrey Roberts, and having also discovered that her mother cheated to win the Pub of the Year Award.

But, undaunted and unrepentant, Gloria can’t wait to show her fiancé Eric off, and to tell Stella and her granddaughter Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) how rich her new beau is…

And when Stella hears that, she remarks that it’s Eric’s bank account that Gloria’s attracted to, which Eric (Timothy West) overhears! Stella’s comment then gives him food for thought, and he rapidly comes to the conclusion that Stella’s probably right.

So, he turns his attentions to Eva, who – perhaps naïvely – thinks Eric’s just a kind man when he sits and listens to her waffle on about her man troubles…

However, in the episode that airs on Friday, February 22nd, we’ll see ‘kindly’ Eric presenting Eva with a very expensive necklace, which she’s grateful for but puzzled about as she remarks that Eric should be spending his cash on Gloria, not her.

But he’s set to tell her that he knows Gloria’s only after his money, and promptly tells Eva that he wants her to travel round the world with him, all expenses paid and adds that she’ll “want for nothing.”

Will Eva take Eric up on this once in a lifetime offer? Or will she be horrified and reveal all to her gran?

Tune in to find out, but for now, here’s a clip from one of this week’s episodes…
