Coronation Street resident Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) ditched his fiancé Leanne Barlow at the altar on Christmas Day after discovering that Leanne told her former husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) that he just had to say the word and she would dump Nick and go back to him…

However, between Peter making a plea for Leanne to leave Nick and the couple’s wedding day, his lover Carla (Alison King) returned from America for good after she realized she didn’t want to be without Peter who’d decided to stay on the Street for his son Simon (Alex Bain).

So, when Leanne turned up at Peter’s flat in her wedding gown, and just minutes before she was to marry Nick, Peter tried to pretend that talk of a reunion was all in Leanne’s head, and he denied to Carla that he’d told Leanne he wanted her back…

But of course, as fans of the show will know, just as Leanne and Nick were about to say ‘I do’, her sister Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) spilled the beans about Leanne’s eleventh hour plea to Peter, and Nick declared the wedding off.

Since then, Leanne has vowed to do whatever it takes to prove to Nick that it’s him she loves, and despite the fact that he still loves her, Nick is fighting to get her out of his life for good…

However, in scenes that we’ll see as of January 7th, Nick just can’t stop his feelings for Leanne, and in a rage, he confronts Peter and proceeds to beat him up!

So when Leanne realizes the distress she’s caused, she’s set to tell Nick that she’s leaving Weatherfield so that he can get over her.

Which of course leaves Nick with a huge dilemma; should he take Leanne back, despite the fact that she humiliated him and that he thinks she’s still in love with Peter?

Or will he let her go, agreeing that while she’s around, he can’t move on?
