Corrie star Kym Marsh wants Jamie Lomas to cameo on the show

Kym Marsh, who of course plays Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, has revealed that she’d love it if her fiancé Jamie Lomas made a cameo appearance on the show.

Jamie – who’s also starred in Casualty, Dream Team and Heartbeat – has of course recently ended his run as Warren Fox on Hollyoaks, so he would be free to star in Corrie…

However, given he’s been a soap actor for so long, Kym’s not sure it would appeal to him.

She said, “I’d love him to do it, I think he’d be brilliant. I think he’d be great on the Street.

“I could see him there, but he’s just left soap so I think he’ll be wanting to leave soap alone for a little while.”

Speaking to the PA, Kym added, “We’d get on with it, we’re both very professional. I don’t think there’d be any bickering…

“I don’t think we’d bring our problems to work or arguments.

“But I don’t think they’d dare put us together, I think that’d be a bit too far-fetched.”

And of the rumour that she and Jamie are getting married soon, Kym said, “We haven’t got any wedding plans.

“I don’t know why people keep saying that I said we were getting married, because I didn’t!

“I just said we may get married next year, we may not, and that’s turned into we’re getting married.

“It’s the last thing on our minds really. We don’t feel we desperately have to get married, we’re together and that’s enough.

“When we decide, we’ll just go off and do it. If there are showbiz people there, it’ll only be because they’re friends of ours.

“And there’d be a bit of a ruction if people from Corrie weren’t at it!”

Would you like to see Jamie in Corrie, and if so, what part would you give him to play?
