It’s been reported today that Corrie star Michelle Keegan has dumped her former fiancé Max George – who is of course in boy band The Wanted – after pictures surfaced in the press of him kissing a blonde woman on a night out.

Michelle – who plays Tina McIntyre – recently said that although she and Max had decided to end their engagement earlier this year, they were still very much in love and remained a couple.

However, it seems when Michelle saw the photograph – which you can see after the jump – it was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and she ditched Max days after the picture made it into the tabloids.

At the time, Michelle claimed she wasn’t worried about the picture – which Max had said was merely of “an over zealous fan” who’d kissed him – saying, “He even gets kissed when I’m with him. I don’t mind…”

But yesterday, it emerged their two-year romance is over, a last night a spokesman for Max told TV Biz, “They are not together.”

Max and Michelle began dating in 2010, and they got engaged when he proposed to her on her birthday in June 2011.

Of the picture, a source close to Max said, “It wasn’t a quick peck on the cheek — they were going at it for a couple of minutes.”

However, as mentioned above, Max’s spokesman claimed the singer had been the victim.

He said, “Max was approached and got more than he bargained for.”

But maybe there’s more to it in light of the fact that Michelle and Max are now over. Sad though eh?
