As fans of Coronation Street most likely know, violent ex-copper Kirsty Soames is going to give birth to her baby girl in the Rovers after a huge row with her arch nemesis Tina McIntyre results in Kirsty going into labour.

As we reported earlier this week, Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) will deliver Kirsty’s baby – who she and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) will name Ruby – after it rapidly becomes apparent that there’s no time to get Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) to hospital.

However, according to Michelle Keegan, who of course plays Tina, her character will be left guilt ridden over the circumstances of little Ruby’s birth.

Speaking to Soaplife, Michelle revealed that the two fiery women begin rowing when the tense situation between them and their partners, Ty and Tommy, comes to a head.

She said, “Tina just loses it. [The argument] escalates into a bit of a scuffle, and Kirsty falls back into one of the tables…

“Tina feels incredibly guilty. Marcus has to deliver Kirsty’s baby in the pub.

“It’s not what Tina would have wished on anyone.

“Tommy really wants to be loyal to Tina, but even he tells her it was a stupid thing to do.

“It happens in a busy pub with everyone watching, and Tina and Tommy become public enemy number one.”

And of course, Tommy and Tina’s relationship is already under strain as both try to cope with their dire financial situation. It has of course been revealed that Tina is going to suggest that she become a surrogate mum for Gary Windass and Izzy Armstrong in order to use the fee they’re offering to pay off Tommy’s loan.

Of the troubled times ahead for Tommy and Tina, Michelle said, “They’re desperately trying to keep a united front, but the cracks are starting to show.

“It seems something goes wrong for them every day, and they simply don’t have the chance to be a normal couple.”

And finally, of the surrogacy plotline, Michelle said, “Tina saw her father Joe suffer badly because of his financial woes.

“She’s in a desperate situation, and you really don’t know what you’d do until you found yourself in that situation.”

Aww I hope Tommy and Tina don’t split up! We waited ages for them to get together!
