Corrie: When Kirsty Soames goads her again, Fiz Stape attacks but gets herself sacked and vilified by her neighbours! (VIDEO)

Fans of Coronation Street will know that loyal friend Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) has vowed to stand by her friend – and soon to be lover – Tyrone Dobbs as he struggles to cope with the domestic violence that his fiancé Kirsty Soames is dishing out…

And having promised Ty that she’ll do “whatever it takes” to help him get custody of his baby daughter Ruby, and to get rid of wicked Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) Fiz has proves true to her word tonight, even though doing so costs her her job and the respect of her friends and neighbours!

The drama begins when Fiz returns to Underworld for the first time since Kirsty caused her to have an accident in which an industrial sewing needle went through Fiz’s finger…

And Kirsty wastes no time in goading Fiz, which initially, Fiz just takes on the chin and tries to ignore. And in a bid to keep out of Kirsty’s way, Fiz takes her lunch break at the factory, where she’s visited by Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain) who’s keen to find out how Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is doing.

As the pair chat, Kirsty overhears part of their conversation and realizes that there’s something going on with Ty that she doesn’t know about. So, demanding answers, Kirsty kicks off, prompting fed up Fiz to strike back!

As a fight ensues, the women have to pulled apart by bosses Rob (Marc Baylis) and Michelle (Kym Lomas) who later sack Fiz for misconduct.

However, when Tyrone comes into the factory to try to calm things down, Kirsty’s busy accusing Fiz of trying to break up her relationship, so when Kirsty demands answers, Tyrone turns on Fiz, saying that she’s been trying to seduce him!

Knowing that she needs to go along with what Tyrone’s said in order to help him with his plan to get Kirsty to marry him, Fiz reluctantly ‘admits’ that yes, she has been trying to get back with Ty!

Of course, everyone in the factory is shocked and they take Kirsty’s side, shunning Fiz for trying to start an affair with a married man.

Poor Fiz! However, as mentioned above, rumour has it that she and Tyrone are in fact going to reignite their former passion and become a secret item, even while Ty’s still planning to wed vicious Kirsty.

We’ll keep you posted with new spoilers soon, but for now, here’s a look at one of tonight’s two episodes in which Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) becomes suspicious about what’s going on between her daughter Gail (Helen Worth) and her former lover, Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers).
