Long-standing Coronation Street actress, Betty Driver – who of course plays Betty Williams – is in hospital being treated for a chest infection.

The 90 year old is the oldest of all the Street’s cast members, and get well messages have been flooding in for her.

The Sun reports that Betty has been in a private hospital for several days while doctors try to beat the infection.

A show source told the paper, “She is probably the most popular person in the cast.

“Everyone wants her to get well and get back on set.”

Let’s hope it won’t be long before she’s fussing over her hotpots again!
