Apparently, the star of Cougar Town, Courteney Cox, has told the show’s bosses that she’d be happier if the title of the comedy drama was changed.

And it seems that the show’s executive producer, Bill Lawrence, has agreed to consider her suggestion.

Courteney, who plays Jules in the show, explained to Access Hollywood that she thought the present title could be “misleading.”

She said, “We’ve been talking about [a name change] for a long time.

“I don’t know if it’s going to happen or not. I don’t know…

“This show is not just for women. It’s for women and men. It’s funny. It’s crazy. It’s kooky and you know it’s heartfelt and it’s all of that.

“So… we don’t want people to get misled by the name Cougar Town.

“It’s just about trying to get what the real show is about and we may do it or we may not.”
