Damages: Exclusive Podcast With Glenn Close

Damages is back! Described as “Wildly addictive” by the Times online and “Irresistibly gripping” by Radio Times, Damages follows the turbulent lives of Patty Hewes (Glenn Close), the ruthless litigator and her bright, ambitious young protégé, Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne).
Damages series two is currently airing on BBC One, but if you missed the start you can catch episode 1, now available now to download on iTunes at www.itunes.com/tv/damages. In this episode, and in the wake of the successful lawsuit against Arthur Frobisher (Ted Danson), Ellen checks into therapy to deal with her fiancé’s murder. She’s also out to bring down Patty by agreeing to act as an FBI informant, assisting them in their criminal investigation of Patty and the firm. Meanwhile, Daniel Purcell (William Hurt), a man from Patty’s mysterious past, steps back into her life, seeking protection from an employer’s deadly revenge which catapults Patty into a new legal challenge.
In this week’s exclusive podcast, we interview Glenn Close who told us what’s next for Patty in the light of the Arthur Frobisher case and explains how the events in season 1 changed her character in season 2. Rose Byrne also explains how her character is coping following the death of her fiancé, how she prepared for the role and what lessons her character has learnt.
