Danniella Westbrook: “I was really frightened to come back to Eastenders”
EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook has admitted that she was terrified about returning to the BBC soap.
The 35-year-old actress has made a comeback as Sam Mitchell on the show, despite the fact that the role was filled by Kim Medcalf between 2002 and 2005.
Speaking to We Love Telly, Westbrook commented: “I was really frightened to come back if I’m honest. I felt like the new girl at school.
“It’s such a big show as well, not like you’re just doing a cameo somewhere quiet. This is a journey for me personally. I want to show I’ve closed a chapter in my life.”
