David Jason Returns In Diamond Geezer!

The nation’s favourite actor, Sir David Jason, is set to dazzle audiences once again as he returns to ITV1 as loveable rogue, Des, in the comedy drama, Diamond Geezer – The Series.

The hugely successful Diamond Geezer, first screened in March 2005, saw dodgy Des (Sir David Jason) as a prisoner who fooled his inmates and prison guards whilst committing the perfect crime.

Three brand new 90 minute episodes of Diamond Geezer will be screened and Des, the master criminal, will yet again use his cheeky charm to carry out grand thefts under a number of different guises.

Looking over the Mediterranean sea, Des (David Jason) looks on as his son, Phil (Stephen Wight), hands him a wallet. Des smiles as he realises Phil is a chip off the old block. However, having stolen the wallet, Phil is now worried as it belongs to DI Mark Critchley (David Troughton), who they assume is on their trail in Nice. As they ponder what this might mean, the workmen building their villa grind to a halt. It seems that the cheque from Major John Robie has bounced, and it is obvious that John is Des’s alias.

Suddenly, a fleet of French police cars head straight towards Phil and Des, circling the helpless duo as Inspector Carne (George Trillat) comes towards them. Taken in for questioning over the death of a man, Carne shows them pictures of a dead body and Des wills Phil to stay quiet as they both recognise Benny Fellows (Gary Whelan)– the man from whom they previously stole some precious diamonds. Phil is stunned as he is arrested for Benny’s murder. While Phil is being taken away, DI Mark Critchley approaches Des, making it clear he knows exactly who he is and not Major Robie as he claims.

Admitting that he knows everything about Des and Phil stealing Benny’s diamonds, Critchley makes Des a tempting offer to drop all the charges and hands him two plane tickets to London. What can be so tempting for Des to return to London and will it mean trouble for the pair?
