David Mannion tells GMTV he won’t give up investigating Terry Lloyd’s death

Following news there will be no prosecutions over the death of ITN journalist Terry Lloyd, his friend and ITN editor David Mannion told GMTV he would not give up investigating Terry’s death.

Speaking to GMTV’s John Stapleton, David said: “We’re not going to give up… I can’t give up. We have to keep going. We are a journalistic organisation of course – as ITN – so we will continue to investigate it ourselves. If everyone else gives up – we’ll keep going.”

David added, “The Marines and American Military, and the American Department of Defense, know the identity of that soldier. We’re not looking for vengeance… we simply want the family to have some kind of closure on this. And as the coroner recorded a verdict that Terry was killed unlawfully, it seems to us only right that that soldier should face trial in a British court.”
