Actor David Morrissey told Radio Times that he would jump at the chance to become the next Doctor Who, and he’s certainly a favourite of fans for the role.

In the Radio Times interview, David said that he’d thoroughly enjoyed his guest role in the Christmas special, ‘The Next Doctor’ and would definitely return to the show if he’s asked to.

A preview clip of The Next Doctor, which was shown during Children In Need, showed both David Tennant and David Morrissey playing the role of the Time Lord in Victorian London.

“I’ve had a great time… If they asked me back I’d jump at it, I think it’s a great character and I’ve loved every minute” said Morrissey. So will he be the next Doctor? We can’t wait to find out!
