Playhouse Disney’s Playing For The Planet Awards have named Doctor Who actor, David Tennant as the greenest star on the planet.

Tennant won the award over other celebs like Sienna Miller, Lily Allen, Madonna and Johnny Depp. He also recently swapped his Skoda for a hybrid car.

Awards judge Peter Duncan is quoted in Metro as saying: “I am delighted that David Tennant has won the greenest star award - he’s a great role model for kids everywhere and clearly is as passionate at saving the planet as his character The Doctor.”
