David Walliams and Lisa Snowdon are filling in for Richard and Judy this Monday when they go to the funeral of music moghul Tony Wilson.

Walliams said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be asked to be the new Richard Madeley. If all goes well, I will swap roles with Richard: taking over the show full time and moving in with Judy!”

The pair will be hosting Richard and Judy on Channel 4 at 5pm on Monday.

Snowdon stated: “Richard and Judy are daytime royalty, so David and I definitely have a tough act to follow. But I’m looking forward to keeping safe guard over Queen Judy’s crown for the day, and David’s the perfect partner in crime.”
