‘X Factor USA’ judge Demi Lovato has opened up about her fans and has admitted that while she loves them she still feels uncomfortable being surrounded by so many people.

The ‘Heart Attack’ singer revealed that she can’t drink alcohol casually because she finds that she can’t control herself because of past demons.

Demi Lovato recently sat down in an interview with Nylon magazine and spoke about her fans and admitted that while she loves them all they sometimes cause her to panic because of past experiences.

The beauty expanded that it’s when meet and greet sessions that make her the most anxious as she isn’t sure what to expect from the public that attend her shows.

She said: “Sometimes a fan will come up and automatically put their arms around me and I just shut down and start hyperventilating…”

“I don’t want to sound like a d**k or a diva, but I really do have anxiety problems. If I get stuck in a crowd, I’ll start to think, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to die! Something’s going to go wrong and someone’s going to stab me’.”

Demi also spoke about ‘creepy’ fans and said: “There was a time when people started trying to kiss me, or creeps would buy backstage passes and reach for my face and try to make out with me.”

“That was completely violating, and ever since then, I always fear what someone is going to do when they come up to me.”

Demi Lovato also revealed in a separate interview with Britain’s OK! magazine about how she can’t drink recreationally like everyone else.

She said: “Some people can smoke and drink recreationally. I’m not one of those people. If I do that, it will spiral out of control very quickly. I’ve lost the privilege of being able to drink responsibly.”
