Demons Axed By ITV?

ITV drama Demons looks set for the chop after its leading man Philip Glenister quit the show.
Glenister, who previously received much praise and acclaim for his part in BBC One drama Ashes to Ashes was widely criticised for his acting and unbelievable accent in Demons. I personally don’t think that he was the worst thing about the show. The plot was inconsistent and Christian Cooke was so uninteresting as an actor that I for one, failed to care if his character lived or died!
It seems I wasn’t alone in my assessment of the show as the series shed viewers in every week of its six-episode run, dropping to a low of 3.4 million for the series finale.
A source told The Sun: “ITV spent millions on Demons – but things have not worked out. Philip made it clear he would not come back. He’s busy filming with a second series of Ashes To Ashes and has other shows in the pipeline.”
Discussing the future of the show, an ITV spokesperson said: “No decision has yet been taken.”
