Derren Brown’s critically-acclaimed Trick or Treat returns for a second series, but this time round the game is raised for all involved. As before members of the public make a blind choice of a Trick or Treat card. If they pick “Treat”, Derren will use his skills to ensure something pleasant happens to them; if they pick “Trick”, the result will be something quite dark.

In the opening show of the new series, Derren ambushes Glen, a father of two,

who agrees to compete in a Night of the Champions pub quiz, where the top teams from all over London will be gathered. Derren has a week in which to convince Glen that he has a greater memory capacity than he first thought and “train” him for the big night. Can Derren turn him into a genius in just seven days?
